Construction at Nagi Gompa

For the comfort and convenience of the growing congregation of 104 ordained nuns at our hermitage, Nagi Gompa, the long row of 30-year-old tin-roofed cottages, which have served as cramped and drafty living quarters for many of our nuns, have now been razed.

On that same land, construction has begun to erect a three-story cement building with 45 bright and spacious new rooms.  Each room will have a large window with a good view of the blue sky and a panoramic view overlooking Kathmandu Valley.  The nuns are delighted and will pair off to share the new rooms, which will have two beds and a shrine, once they are completed this winter.

We deeply appreciate the kind and generous donations from donors around the world who have made construction of these new living-quarters possible.

Many thanks from all of us at Nagi Gompa and Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling!
