Situated by the sacred stupa of Boudhanath, just outside of Kathmandu in Nepal, Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery is home to more than two hundred Buddhist monks as well as an extraordinary family of incarnate high lamas. One of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Nepal, Ka-Nying serves as the spiritual nucleus for a wide range of Dharma activities thriving in Nepal and around the world.

As a whole, these activities are known as shedrub, which in Tibetan means "learning and accomplishment" — the two pillars of the Buddha's teaching. Thus, Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling seeks to provide the perfect setting for the sustained upholding of these two profound and powerful pillars.

Enter our website and learn more about Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and its resident family of teachers, both past and present — Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, Chokling Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche — and about the ever-expanding Shedrub Mandala consisting of affiliated monasteries, nunneries and international practice centers
in Asia, Europe and North America.

Tashi Delek!
